MIX Market offers numerous ways to find an MFI (microfinance institution).
If you know the name of the MFI you are searching for:
1. Type in the MFI name into the search window at the top right of any page on MIX Market.
2. Click Search.
3. You can also use this search function to help you find content on MIX Market using any key word or phrase.
You can also find an MFI by region of operations, or by country.
To search by region:
1. Select the region you are interested in by clicking on it in the drop down list at the upper right side of the home page. Click Go.
2. The page for your selected region will appear, with data on MFI performance for that region.
3. Scroll down the page, and you will see a map of the region, followed by a list of countries.
4. Click on the name of the country you are interested in – or you can click the country on the map.
5. The country page will appear with data on MFI performance. Scroll down to view the list of MFIs who have supplied data on MIX Market for the default year (2008).
6. Click on the MFI name to view its profile page and for access to the MFI’s financial, operational and social performance data.
To search by country:
1. Select the country you are interested in by clicking on the country name in the drop down list at the upper right side of the home page. Click Go.
2. The page for your selected country will appear, with data on MFI performance for that country. You will also see graphs comparing the performance of MFIs in your selected country to MFIs in regions throughout the world for a high level view of MFI performance.
3. Scroll down the page, and you will see a list of MFIs operating in that country who have supplied data on MIX Market for the default year (2008).
4. Click on the MFI name to view its profile page and for access to the MFI’s financial, operational and social performance data.
