Its objective is to contribute to sustainable development of the poor by providing financial and technical services to local savings and credit organisations and to associations of producers linked to the fair-trade movement.
Alterfin offers loans, equity participations, guarantees and technical assistance to the sustainable development of:
- local financial institutions accessible also to the poor
- fair trade organisations.
