In other words, the basic aim is to support the socio-economic development of groups. This is put into practice both in the form of financial assistance and in the form of technical assistance.
Rabobank Foundation pursues its objectives by supporting cooperatives or member-based organizations which offer an opportunity to save, borrow or insure. Good local savings and/or credit systems provide their members with a chance to improve their own economic situation, to improve their income potential and raise their standard of living.
Through this unique approach Rabobank Foundation is helping to stimulate financial self-reliance and to create a sustainable civil society.
