By the end of 2010, it is planned to promote 5000 SHGs that benefit more than 60,000 poor women living in 20 remote and backward mandals of prakasam district relying on the cost effective strategies and basing on the economic scale of operation. Just involving the women or any poverty ridden individual in thrift and credit activities to improve their economic status makes is rather futile. Besides making the SHG members more familiar with regular savings and borrowings, they must be educated and trained to access the development inputs particularly insurance, productive technologies, marketing strategies and beyond all, managerial skills. Basing on the Demand-Supply factors, there is a need to explore profitable trades and new avenues of employment for SHG members to sustain their growth.
ADARSHA has a clear vision to improve these channels for raising the needed Funds through its Research and Development Wing and Training Sector in order to improve the women's access to information, development and financial institutions of private and public sectors. Ocultar

Since starting Micro finance with 45 SHGs in 02 Mandals in the year 1998, ADARSHA has made every effort to extend its thrift and credit services to the most vulnerable and poverty ridden women in 09 mandals of Prakasam district. Over a period of 07 years, it has promoted 1053 SHGs consisting of 10,595 members. Micro finance activities became an integral part of the organization and have played a crucial role in poverty reduction and accelerating the women's status both at the family and community levels. Starting with 02 staff members, ADARSHA has recruited several professionals who have expertise and an acclaimed track record in Micro finance and its related activities. Ocultar
