MISSION

To increase the availability of a wider range of micro finance services to poor (predominantly rural) women and their use of those services through the process of expansion as well as consolidation of this micro finance programme and creation/facilitation of a sustainable community based Micro Finance Institution within the year 2010.


VISION

1. Bring recognition, legitimacy, respect & opportunity to the 100,000 of micro entrepreneurs in the western Orissa region.

2. Create a fair and level playing field for every micro-entrepreneur so that they do not need to be relegated to permanent dependency just because they do not qualify for the mainstream finance.

3. Revive the roots of banking, so that credit is once again based on trust and relationships and a person’s wealth or poverty has no bearing on his/her credit worthiness.

4. Make a real and lasting psychological, social & financial impact on individuals; help build strong, cohesive communities; and generate substantial job opportunities and economic benefits for society as a whole.

In addition:
BISWA has visualized to create 1 Million job by 31.3.2011 for which it has adopted an integrated method such as :Micro Finance, Micro Insurance, Micro Enterprise, Micro Marketing and Social Development

BISWA has planned to establish 1 Million toilet with in next five years wit Pipe water supply through Micro Finance

BISWA has established series of marketing outlets in the name of Laxmipriya for sale of the products manufactured by self help groups as well as to provide employment to self help group members through product marketing

BISWA is in the process of establisjing 100 thousand Gobor gas plant to reduce carbon and hit emission as a strategy to fight global wrarming
