Background: Nirantara Community Services was initiated by a few likeminded individuals with passion and compassion for community development with special emphasis on livelihood based microfinance interventions. The organisation was registered as a Society under Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960 at Bidar in the year 2006. Nirantara, as a responsible civil society institution, started with a commitment to share the responsibility of delivering welfare services to the poor people, especially women. We believe that we have ability in understanding the needs of the community and serving the poor household’s economy since we closely work with the marginalized communities. We also believe that poor households need an opportunity, not charity, to lift themselves out of poverty bin. As a responsible Livelihood Development Institution we are serving our people through appropriate opportunities to poor households.
