Prizma is an independent microfinance institution assisting poor and low-income people by providing long-term access to quality financial services trough providing loans to entrepreneurship, agriculture, basic needs and sustainable livelihood. With seed capital from the United States of America and the US Government, Prizma under the name of "Project Enterprise" begins its operation in Bihac region in 1997. The official name Microcredit organization Prizma has been used since September 2001, and as such has been registered in the Registry of microcredit organizations in the Federal Ministry for social issues, refugees and displaced persons. In accordance to the new Law on Microcredit organizations, Prizma has changed its legal status, obtained licensees from banking agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in May 2008 registered as Microcredit Foundation. So far, Microcredit foundation Prizma has grown into the institutions with seven decentralized regional centers (Banja Luka, Bihac, Bijeljina, Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zenica) and 39 branches from which over 200 staff members serve clients in more than 100 low-income municipalities across entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prizma has received positive audit reports from internationally recognized external auditors, as well as it has A- rating with stabile trend from Planet rating. It has been considered the most profitable, most productive and most social performance oriented microfinance organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in wider region. Prizma has two clear objectives as an emerging microfinance institution: strong social impact and long-term sustainability. It has positioned itself in an increasingly competitive environment as the leading down-market focused microcredit institution in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Ocultar
