En savoir plusFounded in 1994, Global Partnerships (GP) is a Seattle- and Managua-based social investor that expands opportunity for people living in poverty. Through GP’s debt fund model, it raises socially motivated capital and loans it to innovative, mission-driven microfinance institutions and cooperatives that reach people traditionally left behind—such as women and the rural poor—with microloans and other critical training and services that help families earn a living and improve their lives. Global Partnerships’ funds offer socially motivated investors a fixed-income alternative with well-managed risk, moderate financial returns and high social impact. The funds leverage philanthropic dollars to raise resources from qualified individual and institutional investors, and then loan that capital to microfinance institutions (MFIs) and cooperatives in Latin America. Since 2005, GP has created four funds:
- GP Microfinance Fund 2005, a $2 million fund that completed paying investors in 2010.
- GP Microfinance Fund 2006, an active $8.5 million fund (

- GP Microfinance Fund 2008, an active $20 million fund (

- Social Investment Fund 2010 (
