The objective of the Gray Ghost Fund is to promote microfinance as a viable investment option through the development and management of a marketable portfolio of high performing MFI funds, each offering "double bottom-line" returns comparable with traditional capital markets.

Our underlying investment philosophy resides on the tenet that by demonstrating the financial feasibility of microfinance as an alternate asset class and engaging socially-conscious private and institutional investors in microfinance investing, we will be able to mobilize and recycle commercial capital to fill the supply-demand gap that exists for capital funding in poverty stricken countries around the world.

Gray Ghost believes the needs of social investors will be satisfied by a variety of risk, return, impact, and strategic options and as its activities mature, Gray Ghost hopes to demonstrate the secondary market potential of microfinance investments and seeks to enhance liquidity through its sub-portfolios: as an underwriter, lead syndicator or proprietary investor in microfinance assets.
