ABWA is an Egyptian NGO established in 2000. The key goals of the Association are (1) the development of local urban and rural communities (especially women) economically, culturally, and physically. The AAssociation achieves these goals through a number of key activities, mainly: (1) establishment of an information base on all the communities in which the Association is operating, (2) facilitating access to funds for small and micro entrepreneurs, (3) marketing beneficiaries' products, (4) support of a more active role for women in society, (5) organization of workshops and seminars and conferences with international agencies to develop the Association's knowledge level, and finally (5) organization of technical support and training for beneficiaries.
