Cambodian Business Integrated in Rural Development Micro Finance Institution fully focuses on the potential of poor farmers living in the remote areas, who have not enough possibility to develop their living standard, because of the short funding for their agriculture improvement, or and their small business raising in their community, for they have no access to reach any bank for their source of funding. Then, they can only ask for loan from the private moneylenders with very high interest charged. CBIRD MFI has to concentrate our service with the reasonable low interest rate for convincing those moneylenders to reduce the interest rate in order to increase the client income.
Meanwhile, CBIRD MFI has implemented savings mobilization service by encouraging the client to deposit the compulsory and voluntary saving and provide them with the reasonable interest, as well. We explain to them that we want clients to save money for their future life, then one day, all the clients have no need to borrow money from other sources anymore because they have enough money withdrawing from their saving account to support their business need.
On the other hand, CBIRD MFI always motivates the people to think about legal land title for the loan collateral, why they should obey the Government law and Regulation in order to protect the neighbored disputing etc. Cacher

Cambodian Business Integrated in Rural Development Micro Finance Co., LTD. (CBIRD MFI) had been established, firstly, as a Local Non Governmental Organization by local founders under by-law and regulation of Cambodia kingdom, acknowledging by Ministry of Interior N° 227, dated on 28 March 2000 and had been got certificate of registration as Rural Credit Operator N° 027/02 from National Bank of Cambodia since August 2002. According to the satisfied growth of this Organization, CBIRD has been transforming as Cambodian Business Integrated in Rural Development Micro finance Institution, Registered at N° Co.7859/05.P dated on 26 July 2005 by Ministry of Commerce in Ordering N° 012 from Nation Bank of Cambodia.
The company has the purpose to operate in the field of Rural credit and Saving Mobilization in order to participate in the Government Program of Poverty Alleviation with the initial objective for the mission of providing adequate and qualified loans and Financial services to low income potential clients who are running in the micro, small and medium business or and various agricultural production sectors at the rural community level, as well. To providing sustainable access to credit for its clients and focus its efforts on those who will use the funding capital to start-up new business or expand their existing once for maintaining their income generation or job creation of the house holders and the unemployed people in the villages. CBIRD MFI also helps to build the client capacity to manage the cash transaction of their businesses, to increase the living standard for their own livelihood as well as attracting people remain living in the rural areas rather than moving to seek for job in the city or doing illegal immigration to the neighbored countries. More over, the company seeing that after the loan released to the villagers and they have enough fund to make money in the rural Community or in the urban areas with satisfactory busy time they will not think to destroy the environmental forestry; it means that the people suffered by the land mine accident are decreased accordingly.
