The key words in the above mission statement are: • Financial services: including but not limited to loan, insurance, savings and pension • Women and youth from low income families: families with income less than Rs.3,000 per month • Socio-economic inclusion: it includes access to finance, employment and social inclusion • Financial Inclusion means a process that ensures the ease of access, availability and usage of the formal financial system for all members of an economy • Livelihoods promotion and security: this includes economic development through diversification ofthe income sources and provision of vocational training Cacher

CCFID works in the areas of women and youth development. Besides development programmes related to youth and women, CCFID has been actively supporting women groups through financial linkages.. CCFID wants to now fast track its agenda of making the financial services accessible to women and youth for a more inclusive growth in the society.
Understanding the challenges that transformation to a commercial microfinance service provider may bring and at the same time maintaining the social development agenda, CCFID has decided to incorporate a separate legal entity to carry out microfinance operations. Till the new entity comes into existence, microfinance shall be done through a separate division in CCFID. The current strategic business plan is for the microfinance division and new microfinance entity. Cacher
