Our mission is to provide consulting services and expertise that contribute to the development and competitiveness of small-scale businesses around the world.

MSC is a consulting firm and think tank that has the expertise and capacity to produce an added value for its shareholders as well as for the worlds small-scale businesses and their stakeholders, such as microfinance institutions, business service providers, governments and international organisations.

MSC attends demands from private and public entities, such as international organisations, development programs or microfinance institutions, with the following products:

- MFI Services: MFI services include a wide array of advisory and training activities, such as strategic advisory services, coaching of senior managers, middle management training, loan officer training, product design, design or re-engineering of loan process and risk analysis methodologies, feasibility studies for MFIs, strategic planning, business plans, etc.

- Microfinance Sector Development: our services in this area include, among others, the institutional strengthening of apex institutions, the definition of microfinance policies and the regulation and supervision of microfinance.

- Due Diligence: Our experts offer due diligence services to investors, especially in microfinance and small business finance institutions.

- Competitiveness: our services in this area are oriented towards public and private programs in business and labour market development. MSC has developed innovative instruments and mechanisms for the promotion of small businesses and the labour market, such as voucher and matching-grant subsidy schemes.

- Project cycle know how: with "project cycle know how" we refer to our assistance to international and bilateral organisations in the identification, formulation, implementation and evaluation of projects.

- Think Tank: MSC wants to contribute to an expansion of the frontiers of development. Thus, as an integral part of our advisory products, our think tank constantly produces ideas for investigations in order to deepen the knowledge about public policy and private business mechanisms for the development of emerging economies.

MSCs consulting experience includes projects in a total of 21 countries. Until the end of 2006, 74% of MSCs turnover has been generated in Latin America.
