The Fund is the first fund in its kind and is founded exclusively for Dutch institutional investors. The Fund Manager is SNS Asset Management N.V., a member of SNS REAAL N.V., the 5th largest financial group in The Netherlands. The total amount of assets managed by SNS Asset Management is EUR 24 billion. In the field of sustainable asset management SNS Asset Management is a pioneer in further developing the sustainability concept. The Investment Manager is DWM Asset Management LLC, a member of the Developing World Markets group (DWM). DWM, the leading institutional investment bank and investment manager for the microfinance field, will select and propose the investments for the Fund, serve on the Fund's investment committee alongside the co-sponsor, and manage Fund investments during their holding period. DWM has engaged Triple Jump, partially owned by SNS REAAL, as sub-advisor for a minority portion of the Fund.The Fund follows a balanced approach in making microfinance investments with debt and equity. A number of the investments made by the Fund will be in local currency. The portfolio is intended to be well diversified and to represent all regions of the developing world.
