ASED, being a southern NGO, is a gender sensitive, value driven highly clientele/member oriented proactive non-profit, non-government organization. It was established in the year 1998 by some social dedicated workers and has been working for the empowerment of the powerless. It believes that family is the center of all development and if the capacity of women is increased and poverty is alleviated, the further derogation of women in the family and society could be prevented. But for the capacity development, women need to be organized first. Considering the importance of this, since its inception, ASED has been organizing the poor women in the groups within its operational areas to bring them in the development mainstream and it strives for their self-reliance through designing and implementation of innovative projects. ASED development strategies are package service delivery to the clients in integrated approach. ASED implementation strategy of programs include social mobilization and involvement of all stake-holders, gender sensitiveness, accountability and transparency at all level, quality control, sharing of opinion and instant decision making, project and feedback.
