Aspada Paribesh Unnayan Foudation, foermerly known as Agroforestry Seed Production and Development Association (ASPADA). It is a non-political, non-government social development voluntary organization. It was established in 1992.
Once it had only agro-based seed production activities and found the agricultural improvement of the target families. But backwardness of the people still remains due to worst poverty. So, consider poverty is the burning issue and root cause of school rejection, malnutrition and high mortality rate in the locality.
To improve the socio economic and health status of the target families, it launched micro-credit prgram in the year 1993. After three years, in July 1997 it enlisted as Partner Organization (PO) of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and reorganized the micro-credit program along with some basic development intervention such as awareness building, women and child development, education, agro-based research and skill development, training, primary health care especially MCH-FP and environment development.
It is important to mention here that from inception period the organization devoted to seed production, nursery development, tree distribution and plantation directly in its working areas as well as with local/ grassroots level and community based organization. It is over one decade that ASPADA has been keeping its track to promote environment through tree plantation, biodiversity conservation as well as directly contributing to poor and hard core poor to improve their socio-economic condition.
