Banex has its root in FINDESA. FINDESA was born as an NGO providing microfinance services. The challenge of becoming a regulated financial institution was accomplished in 2002 and the new Limited Company “FINDESA” started to be regulated by the Banks Superintendence of Nicaragua. In September 2008, FINDESA adquired the license to work as a bank, thus becoming Banex (Banco del Exito). Today the main challenge of Banex is to become the best bank in the country respecting the principles of social responsibility, providing services to the micro, small, medium and large enterprises.
