Lack of financial services throughout the country is a major problem of economic development in Nepal. Half of the population lies below the poverty line, living in rural villages where there are no banking services and facilities. Realising the necessity of financial institution in our communty, Bindhavasini Savings Co-operative Society Limited (BISCOL) was established on 27th Dec., 1993 and registered under Co-Opreative Act. This institution was initiated with 55 founding members. Later, limited Banking transaction was started on the occasion of Dipawali 24th Oct., 1995 after the approval from Nepal Rastra Bank(Central Bank).
