The main challenge for any microfinance program in Nepal is that of law and order, and security. The insurgents not only loot the financial institutions, they also coerce financial institutions to decrease the interest rates.
Some other challenges include competition among the microfinance banks, low staff productivity because of inadequate training opportunities for staff, and poor infrastructure. Hide
