The CF Lanka Microfinance Company is incorporated on September 3, 2007 as a non-profit making company limited by Guarantee under Companies Act No.7 of 2007 in Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and is promoted by Christian Children’s Fund Inc. (CCF-Sri Lanka), CCF staff and several federations of CCF affiliated associations. Though the Company is formed in the year 2007, the Micro-Enterprise Development activities were initiated in the year 2001 through CCF Sri Lanka project activities in Kegalle/Mawanella and Nuwara Eliya/Walapone Areas. Subsequently in June 2005 CCF-Sri Lanka formed its Micro-Enterprise Development Unit in order to further developments and improvements to expand its livelihood development through micro-finance program island-wide. To become a financially self-sufficient micro-enterprise service provider that delivers quality income enhancement opportunities to all targeted families.
