CMAC-MAYNAS was created in 1987. In 1990, it was authorized to collect savings from the public. In 1994, CMAC-Maynas was authorized to give credit to micro and small enterprises. CMAC-MAYNAS opened its first branch in the province of Huanco in 2000, and a year later opened the second branch in the province of Coronel Portillo.
Al 2002 se han autorizado dos agencias en la ciudad de Iquitos, una en una zona comercial de la ciudad y la otra en las instalaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional "Francisco Secada Vigneta".
