Hagdan sa Pag-uswag Foundation, Inc. (HSPFI) was established in 1987 as a non-stock, non-profit microfinance organization operating in Region 10. HSPFI aims to assist the enterprising poor improve their quality of life. Its financial services helps the clients sustain their microenterprises, thereby increasing their income and enabling them to provide better schooling, nourishment and shelter for their families. The thriving businesses also help create jobs for the unemployed. With its six (6) branches located in three (3) provinces in Northern Mindanao, HSPFI is helping its 11, 786 clients (as of end of September, 2003) realize their dreams of a brighter future. Hide

Group Lending Program helps microentrepreneurs expand their businesses with microloans ranging from $55 to $450. Individual Lending Program caters to those in need of higher capitalization with loans ranging from $450 to $900. Capital Trust Fund aims to help the clients build up their own capitalization and instill the habit of saving. Associate Members’ Fund gives the relatives of clients the opportunity to likewise set aside funds for the future. Emergency Loan Fund and the Mortuary Aid Fund helps protect the clients and their families are protected from the effects of untoward circumstances. Basic Business Management Trainings help the clients better manage and improve their microentreprises. Skills and Livelihood Trainings are conducted expose the clients to other income generating projects. Community Development Initiatives complement HSPFI’s services to individual microentrepreneurs in order to create a bigger impact in the communities. Hide
