Institution Financier de Développement de Phongsaly (IFDP). IFDP started as a component of PDDP project with Village Bank Approach since 1997. In 2005 project start planning to transform microfinance service unit into Microfinance Institution. In 2006 IFDP become the first registered Microfinance Institution, to set up and operated under Microfinance regulation No. 10 of the Bank of Lao PDR. Official permission was obtained by Phongsaly governor No. 872/P.Gov on the 14th June, 2006 and register certificate by Phongsaly planning Department and investment No. 515/PDI, on the 26th October, 2006.
IFDP's headqurter in Phongsaly district and Phosaly province(Phogsaly province is northermost of Lao PDR).
Now IFDP runing microfinance business.
