Mission:
To alleviate poverty and enable entrepreneurs.
Background and Main Challenges: 
ISSIA started as a savings club of small-scale enterprises in 1996. In 1998, the Private Sector Development Program, the Government of Uganda and UNDP initiative for poverty alleviation in rural areas boosted the operations that were further reinforced by the Bank of Uganda and Stromme Foundation.
