Micro Business Loans: offered to all members that haves saved some money with Jamii Bora for a minimum of six weeks. Can be between 100 and 60,000 KSh, but not more than twice the member's savings. Daraja Business Loans: A successful Micro Business borrowers with a well performing business may require a larger capital. The Daraja Business loans are between 60,000 and 700,000KSh. School Fee Loans: After one successful business loan, members can borrow for their children's School fees on the same conditions as the Micro Business loans. Housing Loans: A successful Micro Business borrower (perfect repayment of at least three business loans) can borrow for Housing. These loans are normally paid on a monthly basis over a period of ten to fifteen years. Water and Agriculture Loans: Jamii Bora assists families to construct a well or drill a borehole and establish legal ownership; the members will take small loans to become owners of the water project. Agriculture loans are similar. General Savings Accounts: All members should have a savings account. No minimum amount required. The purpose of saving with Jamii Bora is to qualify for loans, and the savings can be withdrawn at any time if a member does not have a loan or has more savings than needed for the loan. Loan Guarantee Savings Accounts: A member that takes a loan needs to have savings; the savings required for a specific loan varies with the different loan products. Housing Savings Accounts: Savings for housing or other long term needs ccan be done with these Housing Savings Accounts, which cannot be withdrawn until they mature. Hide
