In the autumn of 2004, the future director of MCO "Orlan," having gained experience in banking and credit and having worked in a leadership post, with perspective on the field of microfinance in Kazakhstan, collected a group of people and placed funds towards the opening of a microcredit organization. The microcredit organization had the goal of microfinance for small business, individual entrepreneurs and others carrying out entrepreneurial activities without registration. A business plan was provided and a portion of the invited parties agreed to provide the means for such a project. MCO "Orlan" successfully has existed for three years, having granted 126 microcredits with a total sum of 41,500,000 KZT. The loan portfolio is also standard.
