Reduce poverty through enhancement of the economic situation and general living conditions of socially and economically disadvantaged people.
Enhanced job creation by improving individuals and groups capacity to start up and expand businesses.
Micro-entrepreneurs are supported to start, expand and improve their businesses by providing loans and other related services.
Advocacy and promotion of the development of the small business environment in Serbia.
VALUES:
The MDF staff promotes positive constructive attitudes being creative, participatory and self-motivating.
The MDF is flexible to innovations and accepts the Long Life Learning concept.
In its work, the MDF applies the best microfinance practices transparently.

MDF span off from DRC, that originally started microcredits. MDF opperates microcredits in commision agreement with a bank, legally confirmed by the Central bank. MDF works in area of central and south Serbia which is considered as poorest part of the country. ... Read more

Operational sustainability reached in December 2003.
All donors transferred the Revolving Funds to MDF in 2005.
CHALLENGES:
Significant growth of credit portfolio and attracting donors and funders for financing. To extend credit services from reefuge and IDP clients to wider clientelle that are excluded from the formal bank services.
More diversified loan products
that will meet the needs of the poor and active entrepreneurs.
To develop business development services to help entrepreneurs to plan, register, manage and develop their businesses.
