Background and Main Challenges:
Was founded as an non-stock non-profit NGO in 1990 primarily to provide technical assistance to poor enterprises. Evolved into a Grameen-type lending program in 1999. Current challenges are multiple financing of clients, and frequent natural calamities, in particular, flooding and fires.
