Prior to the establishment of TNTYEF we gained 7 years of experience in the micro finance industry through a different entity which was liquidated in 2001. New operations started in December 2002, although the organisation has been in operation since 1995. TNTYEF works hand-in-hand with The Nations Trust, an organisation established in 1995, that provides Business Advisory Support Services. We see Micro Finance as a tool to fulfill our mission, not as an end in itself.
Main challenges
-to establish financial stability by securing long-term funding commitment
-to maintain an acceptable (>90%) repayment rate
-to maintain an adequate inflow of quality finance applications
-to secure the sustainability of the businesses financed Hide
