The history of Rural Development Foundation, established in 1999 as a result of the merger of two organizations, goes back to 1987 and 1991 when, respectively, the Water Supply Foundation ( the firs one established in this part of Europe after WW II) and the Agriculture Foundation were registered. Since 1999, the Foundation has continued the work of the predecessors addressing the concerns of rural popuation, directing its resources to economic and social goals. In partnership with local governments, community organizations, public agencies and other foundations, the Foundation offers a variety of programs available troughout Poland to support and promote small and medium sized enterprises, infrastructure development, adult and youth education, renewable energy use, community leadership and initiatives, grass-roots organizations, social values and local heritage.
