The company was formed in the year 2000, on the 31st January with only the sharholders funds. The companmy currently has three branches; two in Harare and one in Gweru. The company only provides loans for small and micro businesses; in areas such as Cross border trade, small manufacturing, tuck shops, and sewing businesses. The major challenge at the moment is raising additional captial for on-lending purposes. Competition is not an issue in Zimbabwe as there are very few ppayers and the market is very large (with only 3% of the market being currently serviced at the moment).Borrowing from the banks is very difficult in Zimbabwe due to the very high interest rates which cannot easily be passed onto the clients.
