UDDIPAN was established in 1984 as a Banglaeshi national level voluntary development organization. UDDIPAN aims at empowerment of underprivileged people, with women as the focal point to reach every member of the family to enable them to plan and control the process of development themselves.
Challenges:
1. Disaster, migration, divorce, polygamy, conservative attitude, child rights and gender violation of society is hindering smooth microfinance culture.
2. The loan is sometimes used by the husband, which often creates repayment problems and hampers the microfinance culture.
3. Human resources are required to be developed to a certain level to standardize MFI.
4. Borrowers require attention for effective and successful utilization of microfinance in order to eradicate poverty. Hide
