EMF, a USAID-funded activity, aims to maximize access to financial services through sustainable institutions, improving the standard of living for Egypts working poor.

EMF promotes sustainable growth and outreach with partner NGOs and banks through providing technical assistance and training, in areas such as human resource management, product development, and governance. EMF also works to develop industry support mechanisms in training, financing and business services. Lastly, the activity is facilitating an enabling regulatory environment, conducive to a dynamic microfinance sector, through a series of activities such as public-private forums, advocacy, and increasing policy-makers exposure to microfinance issues.

EMFs assistance reflects the different development stages of its partners, and requires adopting industry best-practices verified by internationally-recognized rating organizations.
