Mission: Opencarb Networks has developing a carbon trading capability (an open, safe and secure International carbon trading Network) targeted at NGOs and Micro-Finance Institutions (MFIs) and carbon originators The company provides these NGO and MFI partners with a financial capability to track and trade carbon credits that will: Provide communities with funding for energy projects and in particular the ability to safely and cheaply sell their carbon credits; Provide MFIs and NGOs with a new recurring revenue stream and additional product for their portfolio; Enable the MFI/NGO sector to aggregate carbon activity to create synergies and cut costs; and Leverage MFI and NGO footprints and capabilities through a financial carbon trading network. OpenCarb Networks is partnered with an NGO call the Encircle foundation (www.encirclefoundation.org) and is also working with Call4Care in Holland (www.call4care.nl), a charity incepted by the Red cross, Amnesty International and the Dutch Heart foundation. Through these partners and others, we are providing a technical capability and underlying network so that carbon credits network is available to the NGOs, to Micro finance networks and clients of the MFIs.
